Job Summary

SCOR Global P&C (SGPC) is recruiting a Cyber Underwriting Analyst based in Paris to support the development of Cyber Underwriting. The Cyber Underwriting Analyst will be in charge of supporting underwriters and performing a technical watch on the evolution of cyber risks.

 

Department

The Cyber Solutions Unit has been implemented by SCOR Global P&C to take care of all P&C business related aspects of Cyber for both Treaty and Large corporate risks

The objective of Cyber Solutions is to equip SCOR Global P&C with the required skills and talents in order to:

·       Provide an in-depth analysis of the Cyber insurance market and business potential for SCOR Global P&C

·       Define SCOR Global P&C risk appetite and positioning in this market

·       Build the Underwriting framework for Facultative and Treaty including:

·     Risk assessment & pricing methodology

·     Risk accumulation monitoring and management

·     Underwriting Guidelines

·       Build-up the Underwriting team in charge of implementing the defined strategy

 

Cyber Solutions acts as a global unit serving the entire SGPC Division

 

 

 

 

Key duties and responsibilities

The Cyber Underwriting Analyst will have three core activities within the Cyber Solutions unit:

  • Supporting (cyber) underwriters to assess the level of cyber maturity of prospects and clients. This will encompass (not exhaustive): 
  • attending to market meetings and client roadshows dedicated to cyber, 
  • filling in and analyzing cyber questionnaires, 
  • providing comments on clients’ cybersecurity postures,
  • producing risk assessment reports.

To achieve this task, the Cyber Underwriting Analyst will use internal scoring tools. He/she may contribute to the evolution of these tools by providing operational feedback to the development team.

  • Performing a watch to identify, analyze and categorize evolutions of cyber risk and cyber (re)insurance landscapes. It will focus on several aspects including but not limited to:
  • new risk vectors (malware, modus operandi…) and new technologies that impact risk evolution
  • monitoring of cyber events and various metrics on cyber risk
  • evolution of cyber (re)insurance products and tools (including scoring, pricing, modelling tools)
  • (re)insurance market trends and positioning of market actors
  • Development & update of a set of cyber presentations
  • Support to production of brochures and papers

 

  • Assisting the portfolio monitoring and reporting process

 

 

Required experience & competencies

Experience: 

  • A first experience (2/3 years) as a cyber expert is required.

 

Personal Competencies: 

  • The candidate must be trained in Computer Science 
  • He/she will have a first experience as a cyber expert. Field experience as cyber governance auditor (or similar field) is mandatory.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one field of cybersecurity (governance of cybersecurity, network security, secure coding, endpoint security, configuration hardening, AD security…) and good knowledge of the others.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent synthesis skills: He/she is able to cross-check multiple sources of information on technical matters to produce synthesis for non-specialists.
